Managed Web Hosting

Managed Web Hosting

Most small businesses do not need to think much about web hosting. That changes when something goes wrong. The site goes down before an important event. A plugin update breaks the layout. A security vulnerability is not patched. An old backup was never taken.

Managed hosting through David Martin Design means our team handles all of that. Your business gets a fast, secure website and a team you can reach when questions come up, without needing to understand server infrastructure yourself.

What Is Included

VPS Hosting with Strong Performance:

We host sites on a Virtual Private Server (VPS), which provides dedicated resources rather than shared ones. That means consistent load speeds and better reliability than shared hosting plans, particularly during traffic spikes.

SSL/TLS Certificate:

Every site includes an SSL certificate, which encrypts the connection between visitors and your site. Google’s search algorithm favors HTTPS sites, and modern browsers flag non-secure sites with a warning. This is now standard for any professional website.

Regular Backups:

Your site is backed up on a regular schedule so that if something goes wrong, whether from a software update, a security incident, or human error, we can restore to a clean state quickly. We use reliable offsite backup systems to protect your data.

Security and Spam Protection:

Our hosting environment includes antivirus scanning, firewall protection, and spam control for business email. WordPress installations we manage receive timely core, theme, and plugin updates as part of routine maintenance.

Professional Business Email:

Hosting includes email accounts at your domain (you@yourcompany.com), which can be accessed via webmail or connected to clients like Gmail or Outlook. This is included as part of your hosting, with no separate subscription required.

cPanel File Management:

Your hosting account includes cPanel, a standard web hosting control panel, which gives you access to files, databases, email accounts, and more if you ever need direct access. For day-to-day needs, we handle this on your behalf.

Who This Is For

This hosting service is designed for David Martin Design clients whose sites we built or have taken over. It is not a commodity hosting plan; it comes with real ongoing support from a team that knows your site. If you are currently on a generic shared host with no one to call when something breaks, this is a better fit. See our custom web design service if you are also in need of a new or rebuilt site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you migrate my existing site to your hosting?

Yes. We handle the migration, including DNS changes, and coordinate the transition to minimize downtime. Most migrations are completed without any visible interruption to visitors.

What if I already have hosting elsewhere?

We can still help with your site. That said, sites we host benefit from coordinated maintenance and faster troubleshooting. If your current hosting is causing problems, migration may be worth considering.

Is hosting priced separately from web design?

Yes. Hosting is a monthly service. Web design projects are priced separately based on scope. We provide a clear breakdown during the initial consultation.
